HELP! Can’t activate an old alltel prepaid phone?
I have a LG Alltel prepaid phone a friend gave me that hasn’t had minutes for almost a year. I bought $10 worth of minutes at a gas station and got a pin number and a phone number to call to redeem the pin number. I called the number and redeemed the PIN and it said it added it to the acount yet also said i had $100 already on the acount, yet i can’t text, make calls or recieve calls. When I try it just takes me to a machine recording from americanroaming.com saying to press 1 to make a collect call or press 2 to redeem a pin number and credit card number to buy minutes. I also tried to register on the alltel website and it said it would send a free text with the registration number and I can’t get the text.
I had problems with my prepaid phone and I called 1-800-alltel-1 and they walked me through it, it was easy. Good luck
