South Africa Gateways Credit Card Payment
Accepting credit cards is a vital part of any online business. Although South Africa is far behind the rest of the world, offering EFT as your only form of payment is no longer sufficient. With this in mind, it is important that you know what your options are. Here is A brief summary of some companies in South Africa that offer online credit card processing.
Payment gateway
These guys offer a fairly standard service and you need to have a merchant account with Standard Bank.
It is generally recommended that you have a hand programmer If you choose to use this company. The last time I worked with them, their support was good, but their solutions were not as easy implementation of these could have been.
Iveri
This company works through Nedbank and offers services similar to PayGate. Usually I would not recommend a company like this to a small business 're just starting out, as they require more resources than are likely to have on hand.
Setcom
This company is by far my credit favorite online card processor. They have been around since 1999 but have recently started a similar service to PayPal.
In essence, you are permitted to Credit card charge without a merchant account. This means you can start much faster because it can often take more than three months successfully applied for a merchant account in one of the major banks.
Another benefit of using Setcom wonderful it is that makes it very easy for you to add "Buy Now" buttons for your website.
In addition to that (yes, there's more!) Can register for free now and be up and running within a couple of hours. No other vendor that I know offers this.
There are plenty of solutions that can be considered Setcom is probably your best bet as a small business.
Pricetag
Unlike other companies have mentioned so far, I have not had direct experience with this company. They come highly recommended by a partner of mine. Their website looks very good, so I recommend that check out before making a decision.
If you are selling online you're leaving a lot of money on the table. People want to buy their products now, not tomorrow. If not configured for e-commerce, simply take your business to your competitor.
