how do I calculate minimum payment on a revolving credit account?
I have a $9000 credit limit on a Polaris Star Card. I want to know what my minimum payment will be before making a purchase, so I can decide how much to spend. I have tried free online calculators but they tell me how long it will take to pay off, rather than what the card issuer requires.
don’t have the card yet, Polaris referred me to dealer, dealer referred me to HSBC, HSBC referred me to Polaris, finally got someone at HSBC to answer, it is 1% of balance plus 1.49% finance charge. Probably not going to do it because the monthly payment will be about $50 more than I want to spend, and that’s just paying the minimum without ever paying it down. Thanks for the replies.
it is usually 3% of your balance (including APR) or $15 or something like that which ever is higher.
