How long it takes for a credit card payment to clear?
Ok, so I went to the dentist on Friday and I paid with my card credit. The payment was made in my account statement the following day, which was great. However, I just checked the balance on my account today, and no longer is there. I had more than enough available credit, so I know it was not rejected. I called the credit company and they told me contact dentist's office. I called the dentist's office and say to show my receipt of payment and just wait a while to clear. Never had this happened before, so I do not know if my card company is taking its time to process my payment, or if the dental clinic in poor condition and gave me a free root canal!
A credit card is processed immediately to give their approval or rejection. If funds are availible, credit processing, if you can not deny. When you a purchase on credit, the money is processed and the other party must accept the payments. Depends on the company. Some do not accept the money for three days and only charge a small conclusion of the commission that the gas stations. For example, I bought gas last week and used my credit card. They put a charge on my account for $ 1.00 Although it pays to buy $ 70 of gas. It took 5 days to accept payment in reality and are shown in my statement. I wouldnt expect the dentist's office or credit card company to spoil the job because they are forced to take later, mostly to the exact moment they are very close to its limit. It happens all the time lol.
