Credit Card No Credit Ok

Is it OK to send data from my credit card by email?
I am abroad, have to make a transaction, no phone, and can do so by email, my travel agent who i trust, but I fear that someone intercepting the details on the road .. I want to send from my hotmail account is right, or may cause potential problems?
Unless you are using public key encryption (which I doubt), then no. E-mail is not secure and you should not transmit credit card whose data in their possession. I suggest visiting your local travel agent in person using a phone public, or borrow a friends phone.
